SURVEYORS COUNCIL OF NIGERIA SURCON
REQUIREMENTS FOR ENROLMENT INTO CADRES IN COUNCIL
(A) GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
1.) Application form duly completed, signed and sealed by a Registered Surveyor
2.) Evidence of payment for the form (N5,000.00)
3.) O’level with credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any other two subjects
4.) Preliminary results, Pre-degree and IJMB are also accepted in place of deficiency in O’Ievel.
5.) Duly sealed written endorsement from supervisor
6.) Evidence of Age (certificate or Affidavit)
7.) Four passport photographs.
8.) Academic certificates are required instead of statements of result for graduates above five (5) years
9.) NYSC Discharge/Exemption certificate (Technologist and Pupil Surveyors)
(B) In addition to the general requirements, conditions for different cadres are:
PUPIL SURVEYORS:
B.Sc/B.Tech (Surveying), HND+PGD or PD(Surveying) cognate courses +PD (Surveying) or PGD+M.Sc (Surveying) from SURCON accredited/ recognized institutions.
TECHNOLOGIST :
HND (Surveying, Photogrammetry, R/Sensing, Cartography, Hydrography and B.Sc/ B.Tech graduates in Cognate courses from SURCON accredited and recognized institutions.
TECHNICIANS:
ND (Surveying, Photogrammetry, R/Sensing, Cartography, Hydrography) from SURCON accredited and recognized institutions.
N/B:
i.) Cognate courses include the following B.Sc (Geography, Geology, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Hydrography, Civil Engineering).
ii.) All sections of the application form must be filled accordingly
iii.) Failure to comply with the above requirements may delay the processing of applications for enrolment.
