THE MANAGEMENT

 The management of SURCON is responsible for the day – to- day running of the Council.

THE PRESIDENT :– 

THE REGISTRAR :– The Registrar is the head of the management of SURCON. He is the Chief Executive Officer of SURCON and in the rank of Director – General in Federal Public Service. The Registrar accounts to the Federal Government and the Council.

For now there are four Departments in SURCON and each is headed by a Director. The Directors receive instructions from the Registrar and report to the Registrar.

TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT:– responsible for processes for registration of all applications for entry into various Cadres of the profession, enlistment of survey companies, conducting  examinations, accreditation of surveying in higher institutions, streamlining professional conducts and enforcement of standards in the survey profession.

The technical department is headed by Surv. Olakunle Olumide Olugbemiro 

ADMINISTRATION AND SUPPLIES DEPARTMENT: – responsible for general administration, staff matters, stores, ICT, PRS and logistic supports.

The Administration Department is headed by Dcn. Peter Olushola Aina

Finance and Accounts Department – responsible for financial estimates, budgets, execution of financial guidelines and expenditure control

The Finance and Accounts Department is headed by Mr.  Njeze, Bertrand Chukwuma, FCA

PROCUREMENT DEPARTMENT – responsible for procurement in accordance with Procurement Act operational in Nigeria.

The Procurement Department is headed by  Mr. James Danjuma Ibi

SUPPORT UNITS: Legal, Audit, Servicom and Anti corruption, protocol and Media, Planing Research and Statistics, (PRS).

REGISTRAR

Meet the newly appointed  Registrar of Surveyors Council of Nigeria SURCON Surv. Olugbemiro Olakunle Olumide fnis. He hails from Ondo kingdom in Ondo State and attended Ondo Boys High School, Ondo. He started his Surveying Career at the Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti where he obtained a National Diploma in Land Surveying and later proceeded to the Federal School of Surveying, Oyo where he obtained Higher National Diploma in Land Surveying and Geoinformatics. He also obtained a PostGraduate Diploma in Geoinformatics and Surveying from the University of Nigeria (UNN). He has served at various levels of administration in SURCON before his appointment as Registrar. He was the Acting Registrar of Surveyors Council of Nigeria (February 2022 – January 2023). He is a passion driven and talented Professional with an array of experience in several aspect of Surveying and Administration. Kunle has actively mentored several young professionals and students in achieving their goals of becoming Surveyors through Workshops, Seminars and personal Coaching. He has played a vital role in ensuring that policies of SURCON are properly formulated and well implemented.

DCN. AINA, PETER OLUSHOLA
 
DEPUTY DIRECTOR (ADMIN.)

Born in the late Sixties, in Oshogbo, Osun State, Mr. Aina Peter Olushola studied Business Administration at the Prestigious University of Ilorin, Kwara State.

He has over the years acquired extensive experience in various aspects of Administration and works particularly with Human Resources. He is currently the Deputy Director Admin and the HOD (Admin & HR).

He has served the Surveyors Council of Nigeria (SURCON) for over 18 years of commitment and dedication to service.

Mr. Aina P. O.  has several Professional awards which includes being a full member of Nigerian Institution of Management Chartered (mnim), a fellow of the Chartered Institution of Administration (fcai) and many more.

UGWU GODWIN OZOR

Deputy Director (Finance and Accounts)

Ugwu Godwin Ozor  is a Chartered Accountant and a member of Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Forensic Auditor and Accountant by Training.

He started his career as an Accountant II and has worked in many agencies of government including international Organizations.

On the International scene, He has served in; Population information communication Bureau (PICB) of United National Population Funds Activities (UNFP), Population Activities Fund Agency (PAFA), Economic Reforms and Government Project (ERGP) under World Bank, Support to Federal Governance Reform Programme (SUFEGOR).

In the course of his duty, He had attended several courses locally and internationally which broaden his Professional horizon and enriched his Competences.

He is married which children, and currently the head of Finance & Accounts Department of Surveyors Council of Nigeria (SURCON).

JAMES DANJUMA
 
HEAD OF PROCUREMENT
Mr. James Danjuma was born on 13th July, 1982. he studied Business Administration at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria. HE became Procurement Officer after passing through the basic conversion training/examination organized by Bureau of Public Procurement in 2015.
He is a member of professional bodies like the Nigerian Institution of Management, (NIM) and Chatered Institute of Public Diplomacy.
Mr. James Danjuma is currently the Chairman of the SURCON Cooperative Society and served as the pioneer Vice Chairman for 2 terms. He also served the NIM Garki Chapter in various capacities.
He is married with children.
SURAJO HARUNA, ESQ.
 
LEGAL ADVISER

Born 15th March, 1973 in Funtua, Katsina State.

Obtained LLB and BL from Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto and Nigerian Law School in the year 2000 and 2003 respectively.

Former Head of A. A. Machika & Co Law firm, Funtua Office, Katsina State.

Presently a State Counsel in the Chambers of the Honourable Attorney General of the Federal and Minister of Justice.

Member Nigeria Bar Association, Law Officers Association of Nigeria and Association of Senior Civil Servants.

 NDAGUYE MOHAMMED
 
HEAD, AUDIT UNIT

Mr. Ndaguye Mohammed, born on 12th February, 1987, in Mokwa, Niger State. He obtained his degree in accounting in 2009, He aspires to master the accounting Profession and excel in his role. Subsequently achieving ICAN membership Certification in 2016 and ACCA in 2015. Currently, Mohammed is the Head of the Internal Audit Unit at the Surveyors Council of Nigeria SURCON in FCT, Abuja.
